My internship sites included rotations at the Forensic Unit in Valkenberg Hospital, the psychiatry out-patients unit and neuro-psychology clinic, as well as the therapeutic ward at Groote Schuur Hospital.
I spent my Community Service year as the District Psychologist for Mitchells Plain where I was based at GF Jooste Hospital and provided psychological services to the surrounding clinics as well as training and supervision of mental health nurses at Lentegeur Hospital
I am a registered member of the Health Professional Council of SA (HPCSA) a regulatory body which oversees the practice and conduct of health professionals and I am registered with the Board of Health Care Funders of South Africa (BHF). I am also a member of the Psychological Society of South Africa (Psyssa).
I work primarily with adults (Including couples) and adolescents from the age of 16 years old. My areas of interest include:

I
have been trained to work from various perspectives including Psychodynamic psychotherapy, Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Person-centred therapy (PCT), Emotionally-Focussed Therapy (EFT) and Solution Focussed Brief Therapy (SFBT) However I have a keen interest in Relational Psychotherapy. In some instances I also adopt an eclectic approach while always taking cognisance of the therapeutic process, context and the unique needs of the client.
